Frauenschuh's Heritage: The Tannery
From our origins as master deerskin tanners in Kitzbühel to our contemporary collection, leather and suede remain at the heart of Frauenschuh.
We have retained traditional, time-honored natural tanning - a slow and meticulous process. Through this we create leathers and suedes that remain truly "alive." Superbly soft, breathable, and built to last, our leathers are crafted to age beautifully, taking on the distinct character, story, and personality of those who wear them.
All our leather and suede products are sourced from the by-products of the meat industry.
Camoscine Velour
Sourced from a rare East African lamb-goat crossbreed, the Camoscine Velour has a naturally refined texture that balances featherweight ease and suppleness with exceptional durability.
By pairing age-old artisanal tanning traditions with modern ecological standards, Camoscine Velour achieves a harmonious balance of conscious luxury and enduring refinement.
Camoscine Vintage
Sourced from fine French Angellil lambs, Camoscione Vintage is an exceptionally lightweight suede defined by its velvety, lived-in character.
The material's soft napped interior provides an amazingly supple, skin-soft feel, while its subtly weathered surface gives every piece a distinct, individual patina. Camoscione Vintage is crafted for those who cherish timeless aesthetics and tactile luxury.
Eco Lamb
Sourced from mountain lambs, the hide is vegetable-tanned under rigorous ecological standards. An undyed reverse side leaves the material pure and exceptionally gentle against the skin, offering an authentic expression of sustainability and timeless style.

The Masterpiece Collection
Over decades of refinement, we have cultivated a portfolio of signature silhouettes that embody our philosophy of authentic design and functionality. These designs, evolved and reinterpreted through a meticulous selection of materials, constitute our Masterpiece Collection - the purest expression of our Frauenschuh's DNA.
